Adapter fittings are generally used to allow connection of standard brake lines to the different sized ports used in brake components. Simply match the male side of the adapter to the port connection on the brake component and the female side of the adapter to the brake line connection to be made. Use for adapting. For this fitting, it has 7/16 - 24 Female thread and 3/8 - 24 Male thread. These fittings could cause confusion because some manufacturers reference them by the brake line size. These fittings would adapt a 1/4" brake line to a 3/16" brake line.
